Jeff Cardoni is reteaming with director Michael Winnick on the upcoming horror thriller Malicious. The film starring Josh Stewart, Delroy Lindo, Bojana Novakovic, Melissa Bolona and Yvette Yates follows a young college professor and his pregnant wife who find and open an antique box in their new home, unwittingly releasing a malevolent entity with murderous intentions. Winnick also wrote the screenplay. Patrick Rizzotti and Brett Forbes (The Collector, Pride) are producing the project for Fortress Features. Cardoni has previously scored Winnick’s features Guns, Girls and Gambling and The Better Half. No word yet on a release date for Malicious.
Cardoni’s latest feature projects include the action comedy Once Upon a Time in Venice, which will be released later this week, as well as Status Update, The Female Brain and Smitten!. He also continues to score HBO’s Silicon Valley and ABC’s Speechless.
