Ilan Eshkeri is set to reunite with Ralph Fiennes on the actor’s upcoming drama, The White Crow. Fiennes will also star in the movie alongside Oleg Ivenko, Adele Exarchopoulos, Chulpan Khamatova, Sergei Polunin, Laurent Lafitte, Raphael Personnaz, Calypso Valois and Louis Hofmann. The movie tells the story of Rudolf Nureye, the legendary Soviet ballet dancer and choreographer and his defection to the West. David Hare (The Hours, The Reader) wrote the screenplay. Gabrielle Tana (Philomena, The Duchess) is producing the project for Magnolia Mae Productions, alongside Francois Ivernel for Montebello Productions. Eshkeri has previously scored Fiennes’ first two directorial efforts, Coriolanus and The Invisible Woman. The White Crow will begin production this summer on location in St Petersburg and Paris.
