Lakeshore Records has released the original song Tomboy from Walter Hill’s crime thriller The Assignment. The track, which is featured in the film’s end titles, is written by the movie’s co-composer Raney Shockne (The To Do List, Queen of the South, Anger Management) and Guns N’ Roses keyboardist Melissa Reese. The song is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. The Assignment starring Michelle Rodriguez, Tony Shalhoub, Sigourney Weaver, Anthony LaPaglia and Caitlin Gerard follows an assassin, who is double crossed by gangsters and finds himself in the hands of a rogue surgeon who turns him into a woman. The thriller premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and was released in select theaters and on VOD earlier this month by Saban Films.
