Milan Records has released the song In the Pines from the new Starz original series American Gods. The track is written and performed by the show’s composer Brian Reitzell (Hannibal, Friday Night Lights, 30 Days of Night) and singer/songwriter Mark Lanegan. American Gods is created by Bryan Fuller & Michael Green based on Neil Gaiman’s acclaimed fantasy novel and and stars Ricky Whittle, Ian McShane, Emily Browning, Pablo Schreiber, Yetide Badaki, Bruce Langley, Crispin Glover and Orlando Jones. The drama follows a recently released ex-convict named Shadow who meets a mysterious man who calls himself “Wednesday” and who knows more than he first seems to about Shadow’s life and past.
