Arturo Sandoval is composing the music for the upcoming comedy Drunk Parents. The film is directed by Fred Wolf (The House Bunny, Strange Wilderness) and stars Alec Baldwin, Salma Hayek, Jim Gaffigan, Joe Manganiello, Bridget Moynahan and Ben Platt. The movie follows two drunk parents who attempt to hide their ever increasing financial difficulties from their daughter and social circle through elaborate neighborhood schemes. Wolf also co-wrote the screenplay with Peter Gaulke (Ice Age: The Meltdown, Say It Isn’t So). Robert Ogden Barnum (Margin Call, Miles Ahead) and Aaron L. Gilbert (The Birth of a Nation, A Single Shot) are producing the project. Sandoval who is best known as a jazz trumpeter has previously scored movies, including 2000’s HBO film For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story and 2013’s At Middleton starring Andy Garcia & Vera Farmiga. Drunk Parents is currently in post-production. No word yet on a release date.
