Nitin Sawhney is currently scoring the upcoming drama Breathe. The film is directed by Andy Serkis and stars Andrew Garfield, Claire Foy, Hugh Bonneville and Charles Chapman. The movie is based on a true story and revolves around a brilliant and adventurous man whose life takes a dramatic turn when polio leaves him paralyzed. William Nicholson (Gladiator, Les Miserables, Unbroken, Shadowlands) wrote the screenplay. Jonathan Cavendish (Bridget Jones’s Diary, Elizabeth: The Golden Age) is producing the project for The Imaginarium Studios. Ilan Eshkeri was originally attached to score the film. Breathe will be released on October 13, 2017 by Bleecker Street.
Sawhney whose previous film scoring credits include The Namesake and Lila Says is also collaborating with Serkis on the upcoming action adventure Jungle Book (aka Jungle Book: Origins). The film is set to be released on October 19, 2018 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
