Brian Ralston has signed on to score the upcoming comedy drama Rose. The film is written and directed by Rod McCall (Paper Hearts, Lewis & Clark & George) and stars Cybill Shepherd, James Brolin and Pam Grier. The movie centers on a recently disabled and widowed woman with a short time to live who is taking a solo road trip through the “land of enchantment” in an effort to reconcile with her estranged son and make her peace with life. J. Todd Harris (The Kids Are All Right, Bottle Shock) and Eric A. Williams are producing the project. Ralston has previously scored the Harris-produced 2012 feature Crooked Arrows. The composer will record his score next month in Los Angeles. Rose is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere later this year.
