Chris Cornell has released his title song for Terry George’s romantic drama The Promise. The singer/songwriter who has previously contributed songs for movies including Casino Royale and Great Expectations recorded the song last year ahead of the film’s premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. The Promise starring Oscar Isaac, Christian Bale, Charlotte Le Bon and Angela Sarafyan is set in 1922 amid the final days of the Ottoman Empire and centers on a love triangle in 1922 with a medical student, an American journalist based in Paris and a beautiful and sophisticated woman. The movie, which features an original score by Gabriel Yared, will be released nationwide on April 21 by Open Road Films.
