Federico Jusid has recently scored the upcoming psychological thriller Black Butterfly. The film is marks the second directorial effort of actor Brian Goodman following 2008’s What Doesn’t Kill You and stars Antonio Banderas, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Piper Perabo. The movie is based on the French film Papillon Noir and revolves around a down-on-his-luck screenwriter who picks up a drifter and offers him a place to stay.When the deranged stranger takes the screenwriter hostage and forces him to write, their unhinged relationship brings buried secrets to light. Justin Stanley (Stigmata) and Steve Hilts wrote the screenplay. AMBI Group’s Andrea Iervolino & Monika Bacardi (In Dubious Battle, Rupture) are producing the project with Marc Frydman (The Contender) and Silvio Muraglia (Reasonable Doubt). Black Butterfly is expected to be released later this year.
