Fil Eisler has signed on to score the upcoming comedy Life of the Party. The film is directed by Ben Falcone (Tammy, The Boss) and stars Melissa McCarthy, Julie Bowen, Maya Rudolph, Gillian Jacobs, Jacki Weaver, Debby Ryan, Luke Benward and Matt Walsh. No plot details have been announced yet. McCarthy and Falcone also co-wrote the screenplay and are producing the New Line Cinema production with Chris Henchy (Daddy’s Home, Get Hard). Mike Disco (Horrible Bosses) and David Siegel (The Hangover) serve as executive producers. Eisler has previously scored New Line’s How to Be Single. Life of the Party is currently in post-production and is set to be released on May 5, 2018 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Eisler also has the Warner Bros. comedy CHiPs (set to be released on March 24, 2017), as well as the sci-fi drama The Titan coming up. He also recently scored Marti Noxon’s To the Bone starring Lily Collins & Keanu Reeves, which premiered last month at the Sundance Film Festival and was picked by Netflix for a release later this year. The composer also continues to score Fox’s Empire, which will return on March 22, as well as Lifetime’s UnREAL, which will return for its third season this summer.
