Chris Hajian is reteaming with director Brad Furman on the upcoming crime thriller LAbyrinth. The film starring Johnny Depp, Forest Whitaker, Rockmond Dunbar, Neil Brown Jr., Xander Berkeley, Shea Whigham, Wynn Everett, Toby Huss, Louis Herthum and Shamier Anderson centers on a disgraced LAPD detective, a beaten man who was unable to solve his biggest case – the murders of music icons Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G, and teams up with a reporter after nearly two decades to find out the truth. Christian Contreras wrote the screenplay based on Randall Sullivan’s book of the same title. Miriam Segal (Good, The Infiltrator) & Paul Brennan are producing the project for Good Films. Hajian previously collaborated with Furman on the 2007 feature The Take and last year’s The Infiltrator. LAbyrinth is currently in post-production and is expected to be released later this year by Open Road Films.
Hajian also continues to score Crackle’s Startup, which has been renewed for a second season. The composer also has the animated movie Woody Woodpecker directed by Alex Zamm coming up. The movie starring Eric Bauza (as Woodpecker’s voice), Jakob Davies, Timothy Omundson, Thaila Ayala, Graham Verchere and Jordana Largy is expected to be released later this year by Universal Home Entertainment.
