Bonne Pioche Music will release a soundtrack album for the documentary L’Empereur (aka March of the Penguins 2: The Call). The album features the film’s original music composed by Cyrille Aufort (Splice, A Royal Affair, Ombline). The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 15, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. March of the Penguins 2: The Call is directed by Luc Jacquet (Antarctica: Ice & Sky) who also helmed 2005’s original movie and follows a young penguin who is about to embark on his first journey, driven by the mysterious instinctual call that pushes every penguin when winter comes to leave for an unknown destination. The documentary will be released in France on February 15. No word yet on a domestic release date.
