Walt Disney Records has announced that Ariana Grande and John Legend are set to perform a new version of the song Beauty and the Beast from Disney’s live-action film adaptation of the same title. The ballad written by Alan Menken and featuring lyrics by Howard Ashman was originally performed by Celine Dion & Peabo Bryson and received an Academy Award and a Grammy Award among other prizes. The new rendition of the classic song is produced Ron Fair and will be included on the official soundtrack album, which also features other new recordings of the original songs from the animated feature,as well as three new songs written by Menken and Tim Rice. Still wish they had continued the Legacy Collection series. I much prefer to hear everything they recorded for the animated film from the 90s than some re-recording of it.
