Meliam Music has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish historical adventure drama 1898, Our Last Men in the Philippines (1898, Los Ultimos de Filipinas). The album features the film’s original music composed by Roque Banos (Don’t Breathe, In the Heart of the Sea, The Machinist, Evil Dead, Risen). The soundtrack is now available digitally overseas. Visit the Spanish Amazon store to listen to audio samples and to check out the track list. 1898, Our Last Men in the Phillippines is directed by Salvador Calvo and stars Luis Tosar, Javier Gutierrez, Karra Elejalde, Eduard Fernandez, Carlos Hipolito, Alvaro Cervantes, Ricardo Gomez, Patrick Criado, Emilio Palacios and Miguel Herran. The movie revolves around a group of Spanish troops’ survival of a 11-month 1898-99 siege in the Spanish-American War, which marked the final days of the last high-profile colony in Spain’s Empire. The drama was released earlier this month in Spanish theaters. No domestic distribution deal has been set yet.
