The full details of the score album for Damien Chazelle’s movie musical La La Land have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed and orchestrated by Justin Hurwitz (Whiplash). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow and physically the following week by Interscope Records. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. The label is also releasing a separate soundtrack tomorrow featuring the film’s songs, as well as selections from the score. La La Land written and directed by Chazelle and starring Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, J. K. Simmons, Finn Wittrock, Rosemarie DeWitt and Meagen Fay follows a jazz musician who falls in love with an aspiring actress in Los Angeles. The movie musical is being released in select New York and Los Angeles theaters this weekend by Lionsgate, before expanding nationwide within the next few weeks.
