Michael Wandmacher is scoring the upcoming ABC comedy Imaginary Mary. The show is created by Adam F. Goldberg & David Guarascio and stars Jenna Elfman, Stephen Schneider, Rachel Dratch, Nicholas Coombe, Matreya Scarrwener and Erica Trembay. The series follows a a fiercely independent career woman who meets the love of her life, which triggers the imaginary friend she created as a child to suddenly reappear to help her transition from single girl to a woman ready for a family. Goldberg & Guarascio are also executive producing the Sony Pictures Television, Happy Madison and ABC Studios production with Doug Robinson (Rules of Engagement), Patrick Osborne (Feast) and Shawn Levy (Real Steel, Night at the Museum) who also directed the pilot episode. Wandmacher is also scoring the creators’ The Goldbergs, which is currently airing its fourth season. Imaginary Mary is set to premiere in early 2017 on ABC.
Wandmacher’s upcoming feature projects include Underworld: Blood Wars, which will be released stateside on January 6, 2017, as well as the thriller Patient Zero. He also scored the upcoming thriller Voice from the Stone directed by Eric D. Howell and starring Emilia Clarke, Edward Dring, Marton Csokas and Caterina Murino. The movie is set in 1950s Tuscany and centers on a nurse who helps a troubled boy dealing with the trauma of his mother’s sudden death. Andrew Shaw has written the screenplay and Dean Zanuck (Road to Perdition, Get Low) and Stefano Gallini-Durante are producing the project. No word yet on a release date for the film.
