Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1956 epic The Ten Commandments directed by Cecil B. DeMille and starring Charlton Heston, Yul Brynner, Edward G. Robinson, Anne Baxter, John Derek and Vincent Price. The 60th Anniversary Soundtrack Collection features the film’s original music composed by Elmer Bernstein (The Magnificent Seven, To Kill a Mockingbird, Airplane!, Ghostbusters, Far from Heaven). The box set features the complete score for the first time, as well as 40 minutes of previously unreleased alternates and unused cues. Also included is the content of the original 1957 soundtrack album in mono, the 1960 album in stereo and the 1966 re-recording.
