Henry Jackmanand Matthew Margeson are reuniting with director Matthew Vaughn on the upcoming spy action comedy sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle. The film starring Taron Egerton, Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, Mark Strong, Pedro Pascal, Channing Tatum and Jeff Bridges. The movie follows Eggsy, Merlin and Roxy as they head to the United States to join forces with Statesman, their US counterpart, to save the world. Vaughn has also written the screenplay with Jane Goldman and is producing the project with Adam Bohling & David Reid (Layer Cake). Jackman & Margeson has previously scored 2015’s original Kingsman: The Secret Service movie. Jackman also scored Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class and was one of the principal composers on Kick-Ass, while Margeson also composed the music for the Vaughn-produced Kick-Ass 2 (with Jackman) and this year’s Eddie the Eagle. Kingsman: The Golden Circle will be released on June 16, 2017 by 20th Century Fox.
Jackman’s upcoming projects also include Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, which will be released on October 21. He also scored Nate Parker’s The Birth of a Nation, which is set to open on October 7. Margeson also has Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Children for Peculiar Children, as well as the horror sequel Rings coming up.
