Easy Tiger will release a soundtrack album for the French drama Divines. The album features the film’s original music composed by Demusmaker. Also included are tracks by Shamir, Max Richter, La Tempesta, Chateau Marmont, Azealia Banks and other music from the movie. The soundtrack will be released overseas on August 26, 2016. Divines is directed by Houda Benyamina and stars Oulaya Amamra, Déborah Lukumuena, Kévin Mischel, Jisca Kalvanda, Yasin Houicha and Majdouline Idrissi. The movie is set in a ghetto near Paris and tells the story of a teenager seeking power and success who tries follow the footsteps of a respected dealer and comes across a sensuous young dancer who turns her life upside down. The drama premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, where it received the Palm d’Or for best directorial debut, and was picked up by Netflix for a global premiere later this year or in 2017 (except in France, where the movie will be released theatrically on August 31).
