Chris Bacon has composed the music for the pilot of the upcoming Amazon original series The Tick. The show is created by Ben Edlund (Supernatural, Titan A.E.) based on his own comic book series and stars Peter Serafinowicz, Griffin Newman, Jackie Earle Haley, Valorie Curry, Yara Martinez and Brendan Hine. The superhero comedy follows an underdog accountant with zero powers in a city owned by a global villain who was thought to be dead. Edlund is also executive producing the Sony Pictures Television production with Barry Josephson (Enchanted, Bones, The Ladykillers) and Barry Sonnenfeld (Men in Black, Get Shorty). Academy Award-winning cinematographer Wally Pfister (Inception, The Dark Knight, Transcendence) has directed the pilot episode. The pilot of The Tick will premiere on August 19, 2016 on Amazon.
Bacon (Source Code, Gnomeo & Juliet, Alpha and Omega) also continues to score A&E’s Bates Motel, which will return for a fifth season in 2017.
