Leo Birenberg has been hired to score the upcoming Fox comedy Son of Zorn. The show is created by Reed Agnew & Eli Jorne (Wilfred) and starring Johnny Pemberton, Cheryl Hines, Tim Meadows, as well as Jason Sudeikis as the voice of Zorn. The live-action/animated hybrid series follows a legendary warrior who finds that reconnecting with his son and ex-wife, while suffering through a mundane office job and the banality of suburban life, is harder than waging actual war in his distant, mystical homeland of Zephyria. Agnew and Jorne are also executive producing the 20th Century Fox Television production with Phil Lord & Chris Miller (21/22 Jump Street, The Lego Movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) and Seth Cohen (The Last Man on Earth). Birenberg’s previous scoring credits include the documentary Red Army (co-scored with Christophe Beck) and Comedy Central’s Big Time in Hollywood, FL. Son of Zorn is set to premiere on September 25, 2016 and will air Sunday nights on Fox. Visit the official show website for updates.
