Corey Allen Jackson has been hired to score the upcoming drama The Bleeder. The film is directed by Philippe Falardeau (Monsieur Lazhar, The Good Lie) and stars Liev Schreiber, Naomi Watts, Elisabeth Moss, Jim Gaffigan, Michael Rapaport, Pooch Hall, Morgan Spector and Ron Perlman. The movie tells the true story of former New Jersey heavyweight boxer and womanizer Chuck Wepner who boxed 15 rounds with Muhammad Ali and inspired Sylvester Stallone to write Rocky. Jeff Feuerzeig(The Devil and Daniel Johnston), Jerry Stahl (Bad Boys II, Hemingway & Gellhorn) and Michael Cristofer (The Witches of Eastwick) have written the screenplay. Schreiber is also producing the project with Mike Tollin (The Witches of Eastwick), Carl Hampe, Christa Campbell and Lati Grobman (Righteous Kill, Criminal). Jackson’s previous scoring credits include the first two parts in the I Spit On Your Grave series and last year’s features Parallels and The Exorcism of Molly Hartley. The Bleeder is currently in post-production. No word yet on a premiere date.
