Mark Kilian has been hired to score the upcoming action thriller Brother’s Blood. The film is directed by John Pogue (The Quiet Ones, screenwriter of The Skulls & U.S. Marshals) and stars Trey Songz and WWE star R-Truth. The movie follows a recently released convict who begins to take murderous revenge against his childhood friends, whom he believes let him take the fall for a crime they collectively committed. Karl Gajdusek (Oblivion, Last Resort), Michael Finch (Hitman: Agent 47, Predators) and Charles Murray (Sons Of Anarchy) have written the screenplay. Michael Luisi (The Call, Term Life) is producing the WWE Studios and Codeblack Films production. Kilian has previously scored the feature Repentance starring Anthony Mackie & Forest Whitaker for Codeblack. Brother’s Blood is currently in post-production. No release date has been announced yet.
Kilian also has the sequel Honey 3: Dare to Dance coming up. The film is directed by Bille Woodruff (The Perfect Match, Addicted, Beauty Shop) who previously helmed the first two Honey movies and stars Cassie Ventura and Kenny Wormald. Catherine Cyran & Alyson Fouse wrote the script and Mike Elliott (Kindergarten Cop 2, Dead in Tombstone) is producing the project. Honey 3 will be released on Blu-ray, DVD and VOD on September 2, 2016 by Universal 1440 Entertainment.
The composer whose previous scoring credits include Tsotsi, Rendition, Traitor, Pitch Perfect and this year’s Eye in the Sky is also attached to compose the music for the upcoming thriller The Field. The film is directed by Rohit Karn Batra and stars Brendan Fraser, Prem Chopra, Ronit Roy, Neeraj Kabi, Vineet Singh and Radhika Apt. Guy J. Louthan (There Be Dragons) is producing the film, which centers around an Indian land mafia family fighting internal battles following the death of the family’s patriarch. The Field just started shooting earlier this month in India. A release in 2017 is expected.
