Paul Haslinger has been hired to score the upcoming sci-fi action sequel Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. The film is written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (AVP: Alien vs. Predator, Pompeii) and stars Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Iain Glen, Shawn Roberts, Ruby Rose, Eoin Macken, William Levy, Fraser James and Rola. The movie follows Alice as she returns to Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse. Anderson is also producing the Constantin Film production with Jeremy Bolt (Resident Evil series), Robert Kulzer (Wrong Turn, Fantastic Four) and Samuel Hadida (True Romance, Silent Hill). Haslinger has previously collaborated with Anderson on the features Death Race and The Three Musketeers. Previous composers of the Resident Evil movie franchise include Marco Beltrami & Marilyn Manson who scored the 2002 original film, Jeff Danna who composed the music for Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Charlie Clouser who scored Resident Evil: Extinction and tomandandy who scored the last two installments, Afterlife and Retribution. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is set to be released on January 27, 2017 by Screen Gems/Sony Pictures.
Haslinger also continues to score AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead, which currently airs Sunday nights, as well as Halt and Catch Fire, which is set to premiere this summer.
