Avishai Cohen is set to compose the music for the upcoming French comedy C’est La Vie. The film is directed by Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache (The Intouchables, Samba) and stars Jean-Pierre Bacri, Vincent Macaigne , Kevin Azais, Suzanne Clement, Gilles Lellouche, Judith Chemla and Jean-Paul Rouve. The movie chronicles a crazed wedding party at an 18th century French castle from the perspectives of its caterer, photographer and DJ. Laurent Zeitoun, Yann Zenou and Nicolas Duval (Heartbreaker, A Perfect Plan) are producing the project for Quad Films. Cohen is best known as a jazz musician and trumpet player. The project marks his first major scoring assignment. No word yet on a release date for C’est la vie. (Variety)
