Michael Andrews is composing the music for the upcoming dramatic thriller Money Monster. The film is directed by Jodie Foster (Little Man Tate, The Beaver) and stars George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Jack O’Connell, Dominic West, Giancarlo Esposito and Caitriona Balfe. The movie follows a bombastic television stock huckster whose program and life are taken hostage by an outraged gunman. Alan DiFiore, Jim Kouf (National Treasure, Rush Hour) and Jamie Linden (We Are Marshall, Dear John) have written the screenplay. Clooney is also producing the project with Grant Heslov (Argo, Good Night and Good Luck, The Ides of March), Daniel Dubiecki (Up in the Air) and Lara Alameddine. Andrews whose previous scoring credits include Donnie Darko, Bridesmaids, Funny People, Neighbors and The Heat also continues to score HBO’s Togetherness, which currently airs every Sunday night in its second season. The composer has also scored the drama The Adderall Diaries starring James Franco, Amber Heard & Ed Harris, which premiered at last year’s Tribeca Film Festival and was picked up by A24 Films for a domestic release. His other upcoming projects include the thriller Headlock starring Dianna Agron & Andy Garcia.
