Craig Armstrong has been tapped to score the upcoming drama Me Before You. The film is directed by Thea Sharrock (The Hollow Crown: Henry V) and stars Emilia Clarke, Sam Claflin, Janet McTeer, Brendan Coyle, Matthew Lewis, Samantha Spiro, Vanessa Kirby, Jenna Coleman, Charles Dance, Stephen Peacock and Ben Lloyd-Hughes. The movie is based on the novel of the same title by Jojo Moyes and follows a woman in a small town who forms an unlikely bond with a recently paralyzed man she’s taking care of. Scott Neustadter & Michael H. Weber (The Fault in Our Stars, The Spectacular Now, (500) Days of Summer) have written the screenplay. Karen Rosenfelt (Twilight & Percy Jackson series, Max) and Alison Owen (Saving Mr. Banks, Jane Eyre) are producing the MGM and New Line Cinema production. Me Before You is set to be released on June 3, 2016 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Coming up next for Armstrong is Paul McGuigan’s Victor Frankenstein starring Daniel Radcliffe & James McAvoy. La-La Land Records will be releasing a soundtrack album for the film, which will be opening nationwide later this month.
Do you have any details about the soundtrack? Thanks in advance.
