Rumor Mill Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Racing Extinction. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee J. Ralph (Lucky Number Slevin, The Cove, Chasing Ice, Meru). Also included are two original songs, on which the composer collaborated with Sia and Antony Hegarty. The soundtrack will be released on November 6, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Racing Extinction is directed by Louie Psihoyos and focuses on how close our planet is to the loss of thousands of species. The movie centers on the most epic loss of biodiversity since the dinosaurs died out, from illegal trade in wildlife to the carbon emissions threatening our way of life. The documentary premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival was released in select theaters this past September by Abramorama and will premiere globally on the Discovery Channel on December 2, 2015.
