John Paesano has been hired to score the upcoming Fox drama The Frankenstein Code. The show is inspired by the classic Mary Shelley mythology and stars Rob Kazinsky, Dilshad Vadsaria, Adhir Kalyan, Tim DeKay and Ciara Bravo The series follows a morally corrupt cop who is given a second chance when he’s brought back from the dead and now has to choose between his old temptations and his new sense of purpose. Rand Ravich (The Astronaut’s Wife, Life) has written the pilot and is executive producing the 20th Century Fox Television production with Howard Gordon (Homeland, 24, Tyrant) and Michael Cuesta (Elementary, Kill the Messenger) who also directed the pilot episode. Paesano has previously composed the music for the Ravich-created NBC drama Crisis. The Frankenstein Code is expected to premiere in early 2016 on Fox. As previously reported, Paesano who recently scored the first season of Netflix’s critically acclaimed Daredevil also has 20th Century Fox’s feature The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials coming up and will begin recording his score for the sequel soon. The composer also scored the upcoming dramas Same Kind of Different As Me starring Renee Zellweger & Greg Kinnear, which is set to open on April 29, 2016 by Paramount Pictures, as well as Angelo Pizzo’s My All American starring Aaron Eckhart, which will be released on October 9, 2015 by Clarius Entertainment. The composer also continues to score the new season of DreamWorks Dragons, entitled Dragons: Race to the Edge, which is set before the events of How to Train Your Dragon 2 and follows Hiccup and Toothless as they discover a world beyond the borders of Berk. The animated show will premiere on June 26 on Netflix.
