Deadline is reporting that Eminem is in talks to serve as the music supervisor and write original songs for the Narc television series. The show is based on Joe Carnahan’s 2002 feature starring Ray Liotta and Jason Patric as two Detroit police detectives who are investigating the murder of an undercover cop. Carnahan (The Grey, The A-Team) has written the pilot script for the Detroit-set drama. Eminem is also expected to executive produce the Paramount TV production with Carnahan. Eminem has previously written original songs for 2001’s 8 Mile, for which he received the Academy Award in the Best Original Song category, as well as the upcoming boxing drama Southpaw. Narc is expected to be shopped to networks soon.
