Jónsi & Alex have written two new compositions for Cameron Crowe’s upcoming romantic comedy Aloha. The movie also features music by Hawaiian music legends Genoa Keawe and The Royal Hawaiian Serenaders, as well as slack-key guitar players Cyril Pahinui, Bobby Ingano and Ledward Kaapana. The film’s soundtrack album will also feature songs by Beck, David Crosby, Fleetwood Mac, The Blue Nile, Kurt Vile, Josh Ritter, The Tallest Man on Earth, Radical Face, Evening Hymns and Vancouver Sleep Clinic. The soundtrack will be released on May 26, 2015 by Sony Legacy and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check back on this page for the full album details. Jónsi has previously composed the music for Crowe’s 2011 feature We Bought a Zoo. Aloha written and directed by Crowe and starring Bradley Cooper, Rachel McAdams, Emma Stone, Bill Murray, John Krasinski, Danny McBride, and Alec Baldwin is set to be released on May 29, 2015 by Sony Pictures.
