Varese Sarabande will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Keep On Keepin’ On. The album features the music from the film by Clark Terry, including his performances with Duke Ellington, Oscar Peterson, Count Basie and Quincy Jones. Also included is dialogue from the movie and new compositions from Terry’s protege, Justin Kauflin and additional music by Academy Award winner Dave Grusin (The Goonies, Tootsie, The Firm). The soundtrack will be released on February 24, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Keep On Keepin’ On is directed by Australian filmmaker Alan Hicks who spent four years following the mentorship between jazz-legend Clark Terry and Kauflin, a blind piano prodigy, during a pivotal moment in each of their lives. The documentary premiered at last year’s Tribeca Film Festival and was released in select theaters this past fall by TWC-Radius.
