Premiering on Wednesday February 4, 2015 is the ABC comedy Fresh Off the Boat created by Eddie Huang, executive produced by Jake Kasdan and starring Randall Park, Constance Wu, Hudson Yang, Forrest Wheeler and Ian Chen. The show’s original music is composed by Craig Wedren (The School of Rock, Role Models, Wet Hot American Summer). Fresh Off the Boat is set in the 90s and follows a 12 year old, hip-hop loving boy who just moved to suburban Orlando from DC’s Chinatown with his parents to pursue the American Dream. Premiering on Thursday, February 5, is the spy thriller Allegiance created by George Nolfi and starring Hope Davis, Scott Cohen, Gavin Stenhouse, Margarita Levieva, Morgan Spector, Kenneth Choi and Alex Peters. Missing from last week’s TV Music Roundup was Pivot’s first original scripted drama Fortitude created by Simon Donald and starring Richard Dormer, Stanley Tucci, Michael Gambon, Christopher Eccleston, Sofie Grabol, Jessica Raine, Luke Treadaway, Nicholas Pinnock, Veronica Echegui and Johnny Harris. The show’s original music is composed by Ben Frost (Sleeping Beauty, The Deep). Fortitude centers on how a violent murder of a research scientist affects a close-knit community with the unsettling horror threatening the future of the town itself.
