Julian Wass has been tapped to score the upcoming indie drama 6 Years. The film is written and directed by Hannah Fidell (A Teacher) and stars Taissa Farmiga, Ben Rosenfield, Lindsay Burdge, Joshua Leonard, Peter Vack and Jennifer Lafleur. The movie follows a young couple who have been together since high school and who are about to graduate from college when events threaten to tear them apart. Kelly Williams, Jonathan Duffy & Andrew Logan (Hellion) are producing the project. Mark Duplass (Cyrus, Togetherness, Jeff Who Lives at Home) serves as an executive producer. Wass has previously scored the Duplass-directed The Do-Deca Pentathlon. 6 Years is expected to premiere later this year.
Wass also has Helen Hunt’s directorial effort Ride, which will be released later this year by Screen Media Films coming up. The composer whose previous scoring credits include Hit & Run, Noah’s Ark: Jumping the Broom, The Pretty One and The Big Ask has also composed the music for the Duplass-produced comedy The Overnight starring Taylor Schilling, Adam Scott and Jason Schwartzman, which is set to premiere later this month at the Sundance Film Festival.
