Scott Bomar has been tapped to score the upcoming indie drama Mississippi Grind. The film is written and directed by Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck (It’s Kind of a Funny Story, Sugar, Half Nelson) and stars Ryan Reynolds, Sienna Miller, Ben Mendelsohn, Alfre Woodard and Analeigh Tipton. The movie follows a charismatic drifter who sets off with a down-on-his-luck poker player on a road trip through the South, where they plan to win back what they’ve already lost. Jamie Patricof & Lynette Howell (The Place Beyond the Pines, Blue Valentine, Big Eyes) are producing the project for Electric City Entertainment, alongside Tom Rice & Ben Nearn (The Way Way Back) for Sycamore Entertainment. Bomar’s previous film scoring credits include Black Snake Moan and Hustle & Flow). Mississippi Grind is expected to premiere in 2015.
