Matthew Margeson is scoring the upcoming horror comedy Scouts vs. Zombies. The film is directed by Christopher Landon (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones) and stars Tye Sheridan, Logan Miller,Joey Morgan, Sarah Dumont, David Koechner, Cloris Leachman, Halston Sage and Patrick Schwarzenegger. The movie follows three scouts who, on the eve of their last camp out, discover the true meaning of friendship when they attempt to save their town from a zombie outbreak. Landon has also written the screenplay based on Lona Williams’ (Drop Dead Gorgeous) and Etan Cohen’s (Tropic Thunder) draft of an original script from Emi Mochizuki & Carrie Evans (College Road Trip). Todd Garner (Knight & Day, Into the Storm) and Andy Fickman (Race to Witch Mountain, She’s the Man) are producing the project. Scouts vs. Zombies is set to be released on October 30, 2015 by Paramount Pictures.
As previously reported, Margeson whose previous credits include Kick-Ass 2, Skyline and Transformers Prime is also co-scoring Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman: The Secret Service with Henry Jackman. The 20th Century Fox production will be released on February 13, 2015.
