Sony Classical will release a score album for the animated feature The Book of Life. The album features the film’s original music written by Academy Award-winning composer Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, Amores Perros, On the Road). The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 21, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips will be added to this article within the next couple of days. As previously reported, the label has already released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the film, as well as selections from the score. The Book of Life is directed by Jorge Gutierrez, produced by Guillermo del Toro and features the voices of Channing Tatum, Zoë Saldana, Diego Luna, Ice Cube, Christina Applegate, Danny Trejo, Ron Perlman, Cheech Marin, Kate del Castillo and Eugenio Derbez.
