Cellist Tina Guo has released the album Tina Guo & Composers for Charity, which features collaborations with a variety of film, TV, and video game composers. The pieces on the album are written by composers including Neal Acree (Diablo III), Penka Kouneva (Primrose Lane), Austin Wintory (Journey), Lorne Balfe (The Penguins of Madagascar), Jeff Rona (Dominion), Bill Brown (CSI: NY), Nuno Malo (The Celestine Prophecy) and Pinar Toprak (The River Murders). The proceeds from the digital album will be donated to the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation to support underfunded music in schools. The album is now available on Loudr.fm and iTunes, where you can also listen to audio clips. Guo was the eatured cello soloist on numerous film scores, including Sherlock Holmes by Hans Zimmer, Iron Man 2 by John Debney, Clash of the Titans by Ramin Djawadi and Olympus Has Fallen by Trevor Morris.She also played with Cirque Du Soleil’s Michael Jackson “The Immortal” World Tour, and appeared as a guest soloist with the San Diego Symphony, the Petrobras Symphony in Brazil, the Vancouver Island Symphony in British Columbia, the State of Mexico National Symphony and Thessaloniki State Symphony in Greece, .
