Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album for the comedy drama The Hundred-Foot Journey. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, Million Dollar Arm). Also included are songs performed by Bollywood music singer Nakash Aziz and mezzo-soprano Solange Merdinian. The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 12, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Hundred-Foot Journey is directed by Lasse Hallström (The Cider House Rules), written by Steven Knight (Locke) and stars Helen Mirren, Manish Dayal, Om Puri and Charlotte Le. The movie follows an Indian family who moves to the south of France and opens an Indian restaurant a hundred feet across the street from a Michelin starred French restaurant.
