On June 12, the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) is sponsoring an evening of electronic music and conversation with composer Atticus Ross who will debut an original, stylized electronic soundscape to the audience. The composer of such films as The Book of Eli and Broken City and the upcoming Brian Wilson biopic Love & Mercy will talk about moving into film composing and discuss scoring David Fincher’s Academy Award-winning The Social Network, as well as the director’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and the upcoming Gone Girl with long-time collaborator Trent Reznor. The event will take place during the Los Angeles Film Festival on June 12 at 7:00pm at the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles.
