Premiering on Saturday, January 25, is the Starz original series Black Sails created by Jon Steinberg & Robert Levine and starring Toby Stephens, Luke Arnold, Zach McGowan, Toby Schmitz, Hannah New, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Clara Paget, Tom Hopper and Mark Ryan. The show’s original music is composed by Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica) who previously scored the Steinberg-produced Human Target. Also premiering on Saturday is the Lifetime original movie Lizzie Borden Took an Ax directed by Nick Gomez, executive produced by Judith Verno and starring Christina Ricci, Clea DuVall and Billy Campbell. The show’s original music is composed by Tree Adams (Californication, Perception, Reba). Lizzie Borden Took an Ax tells the story of a Fall River resident who was tried and acquitted in the 1892 ax murders of her father and stepmother. Premiering tomorrrow, January 20, is the Discovery Channel’s first scripted miniseries Klondike directed by Simon Cellan Jones and starring Richard Madden, Sam Shepard, Abbie Cornish, Ian Hart, Tim Roth, Johnny Simmons, Conor Leslie, Marton Csokas, Augustus Prew and Tim Blake Nelson.
