Blake Neely has composed the music for the upcoming documentary The Case Against 8. The film is directed by Ben Cotner & Ryan White (Good Ol’ Freda, Pelada) and centers on the Landmark Supreme Court case that overturned Proposition 8, California’s ban on same-sex marriage. The movie was shot over five years and offers insight into our justice system and the often mysterious process of taking a case to the Supreme Court. Sheila Nevins is executive producing the project. The Case Against 8 is set to premiere later this week at the Sundance Film Festival and will air on HBO later this year.
Neely also continues to score the CBS hit show The Mentalist and The CW’s Arrow and also has the new ABC drama Resurrection and the CNN docuseries The Sixties coming up.
