Mario Grigorov has been hired to score the upcoming Lifetime original movie Flowers in the Attic. The film based on V.C. Andrews’ bestselling novel stars Heather Graham, Ellen Burstyn, Kiernan Shipka, Mason Dye and Dylan Bruce. The movie follows four young siblings, two boys and two girls, who, after the tragic death of their father, are subjected to cruel emotional and physical abuse resulting from a dark, long-hidden family secret. Deborah Chow (The High Cost of Living) is directing the thriller from a script by Kayla Alpert (Confessions of a Shopaholic). Merideth Finn (The Rite), Michele Weiss (Dear John) and Charles W. Grigorov whose best known film scoring credits include Lee Daniels’ Precious and The Paperboy also has the drama Squatters coming up. The film is directed by Martin Weisz (The Hills Have Eyes II) and stars Richard Dreysfuss, thomas Dekker, Gabriella Wilde, Lolita Davidovich, Nancy Travis, Evan Ross, Luke Grimes and Andrew Howard. The movie centers on a young homeless couple who move into a vacant mansion in the Pacific Palisades to escape. Justin Shilton has written the screenplay and Weisz is also producing the project with Julius R. Nasso (Narc, On Deadly Ground), as well as Todd Moyer (Barb Wire) and Cordula Betz. Squatters is expected to be released in 2014.
