Playtime has released a soundtrack album for Roman Polanski’s drama Venus in Fur (La Vénus à la fourrure). The album features the film’s original score composed and conducted by Alexandre Desplat (The King’s Speech, Argo) who previously worked together with the director on The Ghost Writer and Carnage. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon. Check out audio clips after the jump. Venus in Fur is written by David Ives based on his Tony-winning stage play and stars Emmanuelle Seigner and Mathieu Amalric. The movie follows an actress who attempts to convince a director how she’s perfect for a role in his upcoming production. The drama premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and is now playing in theaters in France and other European countries. Sundance Selects has picked up domestic distribution rights and is planning a release in 2014.
