The Chemical Brothers are set to compose and perform the score for the upcoming gangster drama Trespass Against Us. Adam Smith is attached to direct the project, which will mark the director’s first narrative feature. Michael Fassbender is in talks to star in the movie, which is set across three generations of the rowdy Cutler family, who live as outlaws – hunting hares, ram-raiding stately homes and taunting the police. Alastair Siddons has written the screenplay and is also producing the film with Gail Egan (Half of a Yellow Son, the upcoming A Most Wanted Man) and Andrea Calderwood (The Last King of Scotland) of Potboiler Productions. Smith has previously directed numerous episodes of TV shows including Doctor Who and Skins. He has also collaborated with The Chemical Brothers on last year’s documentary The Chemical Brothers: Don’t Think. The British electronic music duo composed of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons has made their feature scoring debut on Joe Wright’s 2011 movie Hanna. Trespass Against Us is scheduled to shoot in the U.K. in 2014. (via The Hollywood Reporter)
