Lucas Vidal has been hired to score the upcoming action thriller Tracers. The film is directed by Daniel Benmayor (Bruc, The Manhunt) and stars Taylor Lautner as a New York City bike messenger who is in debt to an organized crime gang and escapes into the world of parkour after meeting a beautiful stranger. Marie Avgeropoulos and Adam Rayner are co-starring. The movie’s screenplay is written by Leslie Bohem (Dante’s Peak, Daylight), Matt Johnson (Into the Blue), Kevin Lund and T.J. Scott. Mary Bowen and Wyck Godfrey (Twilight series, Dear John, Safe Haven) are producing the project for Temple Hill Entertainment. Tracers is currently in post-production and is expected to be released in 2014.
Vidal who scored one of 2013’s highest grossing films Fast & Furious 6 earlier this year and whose other feature credits include The Raven and The Cold Light of Day also has the supernatural horror thriller The Quiet Ones coming up. Since our last update, Lionsgate has picked up domestic distribution rights and will release the film on April 25, 2014. The composer has also recently recorded his orchestral score for the upcoming dramatic thriller Mindscape directed by Jorge Dorado, produced by Jaume Collet-Serra and starring Mark Strong, Taissa Farmiga and Brian Cox.
can’t wait to listen to his score for a thriller movie again. I liked The Raven a lot!
I hear it’s gonna be an electronic score. He did great on Fast and Furious 6
Talented composer, but I feel like this movie is coming out too late. Lautner’s star power has definitely dwindled.
Taylor Lautner is going to show just how much star power he has as an action movie star. He ain’t out of the game yet he is just getting started. PEACE!
I like this composer great choice. I think Taylor Lautner is on his way again with this movie Tracers. Taylor Lautner is putting parkour on the map in the United States.
