Hans Zimmer has confirmed in a recent interview with Collider that he has started work on Christopher Nolan’s upcoming sci-fi film Interstellar. The movie is based on a script by Jonathan Nolan (The Dark Knight, Person of Interest) and stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, and Michael Caine. No specific plot details have been revealed yet, but the movie is supposed to “depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the farthest borders of our scientific understanding”. Nolan is producing the Warner Bros. and Paramount Pictures production with Emma Thomas and Lynda Obst (How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, The Siege). Zimmer has previously collaborated with Nolan on the Dark Knight trilogy and Inception. Interstellar is set to be released on November 7, 2014.
Zimmer’s other upcoming projects also include Man of Steel, The Lone Ranger, Rush, Mr. Morgan’s Last Love, Winter’s Tale and Twelve Years a Slave.
And the great partnership continues 🙂
