Geoff Zanelli has been tapped to score the upcoming drama Louder Than Words. The film is directed by directed by Anthony Fabian (Skin) and stars David Duchovny, Hope Davis, Timothy Hutton, Olivia Steele-Falconer, Xander Berkely, Craig Bierko and Scott Cohen. The movie is based on the true story of grieving parents who used the unexpected death of their young daughter as the impetus to erect a children’s hospital in their daughter’s name where families are welcomed into the healing process. Carroll Cartwright (What Maisie Knew, Where the Money Is) wrote the screenplay and Anthony Mastromauro (Beer League) is producing the project for Identity Films. Rod Lurie (The Contender) serves as an executive producer. Louder Than Words is currently in post-production. No word yet on a release date.
Zanelli has also scored the indie drama Last I Heard. The film is directed by David Rodriguez and stars Chazz Palminteri, Michael Rapaport, Andrea Nittoli and Renee Props. The movie follows a formerly powerful New York mobster who moves back home after being released from federal prison and attempts to reconnect with former life. Rodriguez and Nittoli are also producing the project with Kevin Kelly. The movie is set to premiere on June 8 & 9, 2013 at the Seattle Film Festival (click here for tickets).
