See-Saw Films has released a soundtrack album for BBC’s and the Sundance Channel’s mini-series Top of the Lake. The album features the original score from the seven-part series composed by Mark Bradshaw (Bright Star). Also included are songs by Howlin’ Wolf, Smokie, Straitjacket Fits, Georgi Kay and Split Enz. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon. Audio clips are available after the jump. Top of the Lake is helmed by Academy Award-winning director Jane Campion (The Piano) and Garth Davis and stars Elisabeth Moss, Holly Hunter, Peter Mullan and David Wenham. The drama is set in New Zealand and follows the disappearance of a five-months pregnant 12-year-old girl who was last seen standing chest-deep in a frozen lake. The mini-series aired on the Sundance Channel earlier this year and is now available on DVD. To learn more about the project, visit the official series website.
