Alex Wurman has composed the score for the Lifetime original movie Call Me Crazy: A Five Film. The anthology film stars Jennifer Hudson, Melissa Leo, Octavia Spencer, Sarah Hyland, Sofia Vassilieva, Brittany Snow, Ernie Hudson, Jason Ritter, Jean Smart, Lea Thompson, Melanie Griffith and Chelsea Handler. The movie follows five interwoven stories about mental illness, which are directed by Laura Dern, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bonnie Hunt, Ashley Judd and Sharon Maguire. Jennifer Aniston & Marta Kauffman (Friends), Kristin Hahn, Kevin Chinoy and Francesca Silvestri are executive producing the Sony Pictures Television, Echo Films and Freestyle Picture Company production. Lorne Balfe was the composer of 2011’s previous Five movie. Call Me Crazy: A Five Film is set to premiere this Saturday, April 20 on Lifetime. Wurman whose previous credits include March of the Penguins, Temple Grandin and Confessions of a Dangerous Method also has the documentary The Hazda: Last of the First coming up. The film directed by Bill Benenson takes a look at Africa’s Rift Valley, where one of the world’s last remaining hunter-gatherer groups, the Hadza, have lived sustainably for over 50,000 years. The composer is also expected to return for the second season of Aaron Sorkin’s HBO drama The Newsroom, which is set to premiere this summer.
